Event Description

On Wednesday, April 28th the U.S.-Africa Business Center, in partnership with Covington and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kenya, will host the launch of an in-depth study on U.S.-Kenya Trade Negotiations: Implications for the Future of the U.S.-Africa Trade Relationship. This event is the culmination of a year’s worth of private and public sector interviews on the future of the U.S.-Kenya trade relationship, showcasing report findings highlighting the opportunities and risks associated with continued U.S.-Kenya FTA negotiations with business and government leaders.

The event will begin with Keynote remarks from Acting Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Robert F. Godec, on the partnership between the U.S. and Kenya. The event will then consider the perspective of corporate executives and thought leaders who will discuss the implications of this agreement and opportunities for growth.
