Doug Parker is chairman and CEO of American Airlines. Doug is a strong supporter of the people of the airline industry and American is emblematic of the transformation that has occurred in the industry in recent years. The integration of American and US Airways has been a success and the airline has produced record financial results. This has allowed American to make unprecedented investments in its team members and product while returning money to shareholders.

Previously, Doug was CEO of US Airways. Under his leadership, US Airways achieved record revenue growth, operational performance and profit margins. Before the merger of US Airways and America West, Doug was CEO of America West.

Doug serves as the chairman of the A4A Board of Directors and sits on the IATA Board of Governors and oneworld Governing Board. He’s also a member of the Vanderbilt Board of Trust and the SMU Cox Executive Board.

Doug earned a degree in economics from Albion College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
