Congressional Trademark Caucus Briefing: Addressing the Impacts of Counterfeiting on Brand Owners and Consumers During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Please join the bicameral, bipartisan Congressional Trademark Caucus (CTC), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) and the International Trademark Association (INTA) for a virtual briefing.

Participants will hear from Members of Congress and trademark and brand protection experts about important public and private sector efforts to address pervasive trademark counterfeiting.

The Briefing will focus primarily on the U.S. State Department, Department of Justice and private sector efforts to stem the tide of counterfeit products in the marketplace, particularly online due to the explosion of consumer purchases in the e-commerce space as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which at the same time has led to a rise in counterfeit activity on the Internet.
