Dennis Lanham is the Sr. Assistant Dean of Executive Education, and Executive Director of the Silicon Valley Executive Center at Santa Clara University. With more than 15+ years of experience in business education, nonprofit, and program management, Dennis has built numerous programs for businesses and working professionals across industries in leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, operations, and many other business-critical areas. He has worked with dozens of corporate clients and university partners and has built more than ten open enrollment programs from the ground up.
Before moving to California, Dennis led university-based executive education programs in Nebraska and Georgia. He served as the inaugural head and founder of executive ed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and assistant director of EMBA and executive ed at Georgia State University. Prior to his career in executive education, Dennis worked in nonprofit administration as the director of member services for Phi Beta Sigma, a service-based, nonprofit fraternal organization based in Washington, D.C., and spent several years in student affairs administration. A native of Dallas, TX, Lanham holds a B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas, an M.S. in Higher Education from Florida State University, and an MBA from Georgia State University.
In addition to his career in executive education, Dennis is an adjunct professor in the Marketing Department at Santa Clara University, where he teaches Executive MBA, part-time MBA, and undergraduate business students. He is also a consultant and coach for a start-up company here in the Silicon Valley and travels often conducting and co-facilitating workshops on team development, leadership, and organizational health.
