Michael S. Neal serves as president and CEO of the Tulsa Regional Chamber where he leads a full-time professional staff of 65 in the areas of regional economic development, convention and visitor development, government affairs, education, workforce development, small business, sports, young professionals, downtown and river development, political action, and membership services.
Under his leadership, the Tulsa Regional Chamber has earned three accreditations: the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's highest recognition, Five-Star Accreditation; the International Economic Development Council's prestigious Accredited Economic Development Organization distinction; and the Oklahoma Quality Award. He led the creation of the Tulsa Regional Chamber Coalition and its OneVoice Regional State and Federal legislative agendas. In addition, the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) named the Tulsa Regional Chamber as the Nation's Best Chamber for a record three consecutive years of eligibility in 2010, 2008, and 2005.
Neal serves on numerous boards and commissions. He was appointed by Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin appointed him to her Oklahoma Task Force on Economic Development. He is a graduate and Life Member of Leadership Oklahoma and Leadership Louisiana, and he serves as a member of the Governor's International Team, the International Economic Development Council, the Oklahoma Economic Development Council, the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Oklahoma Conference for Community and Justice, the American Highway Users Alliance, TRUST–Transportation Revenues Used Strictly for Transportation, the INCOG Transportation Advisory Council and the Economic Development District Board, among other community and nonprofit service organizations.
