Yvette N. Stevens, P.E., PMP is vice president, director of economic inclusion at Gilbane Building Company, a global construction and facilities management firm. In this enterprise leadership role, Yvette leads Gilbane’s corporate economic inclusion strategies, including its industry-leading commitment to award $4 billion to minority and women-owned, disadvantaged, LGBTBE, and veteran businesses over a five-year horizon.
With over 22 years in the construction industry, Yvette has extensive experience in engineering, program, project, and quality management, and contract administration.
She works with Gilbane’s clients and project teams to create transformational social impact by driving inclusion, equity, diversity and opportunity through capital building projects and programs.
Yvette was instrumental in launching Gilbane’s Rising Contractor Program which provides mentorship and training to diverse firms across the country. A passionate proponent of inclusion and diversity throughout her career, Yvette was the inaugural chair of the UJIMA employee resource group (ERG), which promotes cultural awareness and implements inclusion and diversity strategies on behalf of Black/African American employees at Gilbane.
Yvette holds a Master of Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University, Master of Business Administration from University of Alabama at Birmingham and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Morgan State University.
