EnergyInnovates: Challenges and Opportunities Facing Nuclear Power
Date & Time
Thursday, July 15, 2021, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Description
The event will be live streamed on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce website.
As global deployment of non-emitting sources of electricity continues to accelerate, there still remains a shortfall in the ability of existing technologies to achieve net-zero emissions. Scientific consensus has increasingly coalesced around the importance of nuclear power to achieving climate goals in the United States as well as around the world. This discussion will explore the importance of our existing nuclear energy fleet, the development of cutting-edge reactors, and the accompanying policies necessary to facilitate greater investment, permitting, and deployment of emissions-free nuclear.
