The U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) invites you to the inaugural event of our 2026 Great States Initiative — a business roundtable in Atlanta, in partnership with the Consulate General of India in Atlanta, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Metro Atlanta Chamber. The theme of the roundtable will be Growing the Southern Gateway: Expanding Economic Ties Between Georgia and India.

Atlanta is India's commercial gateway to the American Southeast. Indian-American investment in the region exceeds $12 billion, major Indian IT and industrial firms have built significant operations, and India's Consulate General in Atlanta covers a substantial jurisdictional footprint spanning the Southeast region. Atlanta's position as a global logistics hub - home to the world's busiest airport, a major cluster of Fortune 500 headquarters, and direct connectivity to the Port of Savannah - creates a powerful platform for Indian companies seeking faster access to North American markets.

The roundtable will bring together government representatives and local leaders, business and industry players, and member executives to localize global impacts, highlight opportunities for further collaboration and investment, and further unlock the potential of this growing region within the U.S.-India economic corridor. The conversation will center on priority sectors where Georgia and India share strong complementarities: logistics, technology, manufacturing, and energy, as well as updates on the latest trade, tariff, and international developments. Lunch will also be served during the session.

USIBC's Great States Initiative aims to bring our convening power and policy influence closer to state-level innovation hubs and industrial clusters across both countries, connecting senior state and local leaders with our membership in the most strategic markets and budding geographies in the U.S. and India.
