Virtual InSTEP - The Ongoing Russia-Ukraine Conflict Where We’re Heading and Geopolitical Implications

Event Description

Please join us on Monday, October 3 from 4:00-5:00pm EST, for a conversation on “The Ongoing Russia-Ukraine Conflict: Where We’re Heading and Geopolitical Implications.”

We are pleased to announce that H.E.
Oksana Markarova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States will also join us for this important conversation.

We will explore how developments have reshaped both Russia and Ukraine, the vital U.S. interests at stake in the conflict, the question of the staying power of the U.S. and its European allies, and what the positioning of key players like China, India, and others tells us about the realignment of global politics.

We will be joined by four leading voices on the ongoing conflict and its ramifications:

  • Ambassador Oksana Markarova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States
  • Ambassador William Taylor, Vice President, Russia and Europe, U.S. Institute of Peace, and former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine
  • Dr. Evelyn Farkas, Executive Director, McCain Institute, and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia
