Paige Shevlin is the founder of Paige Ahead LLC, where she partners with nonprofits, workforce organizations, and public agencies to implement evidence-informed labor market initiatives that deliver measurable impact for workers and communities.�Over the past year, she has supported state agencies and local education partners in developing workforce strategies aligned with major public and private infrastructure investments.�Her consulting work builds on her recent experience as Strategic Advisor for Infrastructure Workforce Development at the U.S. Department of Transportation. In that role, Paige assisted state and local transportation agencies in creating workforce strategies connected to transportation, including the use of local hire requirements and the expansion of apprenticeship programs.�

Earlier in her career, Paige served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the White House National Economic Council, where she led the development of labor market policies, including regulatory policy decisions related to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. She also served as Economic Development and Workforce Policy Advisor to the King County Executive in Washington State and held roles at the Council of Economic Advisers, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Hamilton Project at Brookings, and the Congressional Budget Office.�
