David K. Chapman is Vice President of Public Affairs for Michelin North America, where he leads the company’s public policy engagement across the United States and Canada. He oversees an international team responsible for government affairs, sustainability engagement, and community relations, working with federal, state, and local policymakers on issues impacting advanced manufacturing, transportation, and supply chains.
Since joining Michelin in 2019, David also led the company’s Government and Defense business unit, managing strategic engagement with U.S. and Canadian government and defense customers.
Prior to Michelin, David served 30 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Colonel. His career included operational assignments with the 82d Airborne Division and 75th Ranger Regiment, deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, and diplomatic service as Defense and Army Attaché in France, Greece, and Serbia.
