Vicky joined the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (EDC) in March 2009 with extensive background in both government and private sectors. Her current role focuses on supporting and growing the region’s aerospace and aviation industries, and includes managing the Colorado Space Coalition and the Metro Denver Aviation Coalition. Vicky is responsible for designing and implementing strategic initiatives in support of industry recruitment and retention, marketing and promotion, and legislative advocacy. Much of Vicky’s focus involves facilitating collaboration and building partnerships among industry, education, government, and economic development stakeholders.

Prior to working with the EDC, Vicky was Aerospace Industry Coordinator with the Metro Denver Workforce Innovation in Economic Development Initiative, a U.S. Department of Labor grant resulting in the award of more than $2 million for six programs that specifically addressed the region’s future aerospace workforce needs.

Vicky’s background includes working for UK Trade and Investment at the British Consulate General in Denver, where she advised Colorado companies expanding business operations into the United Kingdom, and assisted British companies conducting business in Colorado. She also worked as pro-consul on public affairs and consular activities in Denver. Vicky also has experience in the Non-Governmental Organization sector, working for the British Council to build education and non-profit partnerships for international economic development programs, which included postings to India, Nepal and Vietnam.
Vicky currently chairs the Subcommittee on Aerospace for the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade’s Advanced Industries Program, and sits on the board of Directors for CO-LABS, a consortium of Colorado federal research laboratories, education institutions, local government, and private and non-profit organizations organized to promote Colorado as a global leader in research and technology. Vicky also serves on the Colorado Air and Space Port Advisory Committee, Colorado Space Business Roundtable’s Advisory Board, and the World Trade Center Denver’s board of Directors.
Originally from the UK, Vicky has lived in Colorado since 2000, and became a U.S. citizen in 2009. She has a B.A. in English and Latin, and a Masters degree in Development Studies, both from Manchester University in the UK.
