New York Climate Week Event: Emissions Reduction Pathways in the Asia-Pacific Region: Exploring the Unique Role of Natural Gas
Event Description
On behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Asia Natural Gas and Energy Association, we invite you to participate in an important energy transition discussion on the sidelines of New York City Climate Week. This event, titled Emissions Reduction Pathways in the Asia-Pacific Region: Exploring the Unique Role of Natural Gas, will take place at the North American Climate Summit on the afternoon of September, 24, 2024.
Featuring ANGEA CEO Paul Everingham, this hour-long panel session with government and industry leaders will examine the “energy trilemma” facing Asia, and how natural gas is poised to play an increasingly important in support of energy security, affordability, and emissions reductions during a period of sustained demand growth. Panelists will discuss the technical and economic challenges facing the region, pivotal investment choices facing Asia-Pacific leaders, and the importance of policy signals from multilateral institutions to the future global emissions trajectory.
