Robert Heidt is the President and CEO of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, representing California's capital city and the fifth-largest economy in the world.

With over 20 years of chamber leadership experience, Robert's career began at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, where he served as Director of Membership and Community Relations for seven years. He then moved to Austin, Texas, where he was the COO and Senior Vice President of the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Following that, Robert took on the role of CEO of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce near Boston before moving to Glendale, Arizona, where he served as President & CEO of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce for more than a decade.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Robert served in the U.S. Air Force as a security police officer and holds a degree in criminal justice. Before entering the chamber industry, he worked in casino and event marketing with Mirage Resorts and the Venetian.

Robert is a graduate of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE) and has served on the boards of both the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and WACE. He also chaired the West Valley Chambers Alliance for seven years. In his current role, Robert currently serves on the boards of the Downtown Sacramento Partnership, Visit Sacramento, and the California Capital Airshow.
