Coran is a recognized and trusted industry leader in the development of international policy and regulatory AI initiatives, building on his role as an advisor to numerous international industry bodies, including the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), International Organization for Standards (ISO), and the European AI Office. Coran is a founding member of the US Department of Commerce and the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST's) Center for AI Standards and Innovation, where he continues to develop international best practices that form the foundation of how organizations approach development and deployment of AI. At the International Finance Corporation (IFC), he advised on financing initiatives across renewable energy, healthcare, and manufacturing.
In the fintech space, Hussain held an Executive Director role at a UK-based peer-to-peer lending platform and advised a B2B platform focused on digitizing institutional access to private debt and infrastructure investments.
