Speaker Bio
Dr. Chris Cornelius is a geologist, entrepreneur, and Chairman and CEO of Argentina Potash, with over 30 years of international experience in exploration, project development, large-scale resource projects, and capital markets.
He founded Argentina Potash in 2023 to unlock Argentina's Neuquén Basin potash potential. Its flagship El Ceibo Project is positioned to become a major new source of supply in the Western Hemisphere and recently secured landmark Project Development Funding from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), reinforcing U.S. efforts to strengthen diversified fertilizer supply chains and food security.
With extensive hands-on expertise across multiple jurisdictions—Australia, Bolivia, Canada, China, Europe, Papua New Guinea, the U.K., and the United States—Dr. Cornelius has led exploration programs, feasibility studies, and project advancement from greenfield to the development stage. He holds a PhD in Geology, is a Chartered Geologist (C.Geol), and a professional European Geologist (Eur.Geol).
He is a strong advocate for deeper U.S.–Argentina cooperation in critical minerals, agricultural security, access to U.S. financial markets, and is leading Argentina Potash toward a planned NYSE American listing in early 2027 under the ticker symbol KCL.
