AI Standards Development Dialogue with the U.S. Government

Event Description

Please join us for the upcoming discussion on AI standards with representatives from NIST and the State Department.

This meeting aims to define key priorities and forge an action plan for international work on AI standards development. Your input is crucial to shape a U.S. Government (USG) plan for international engagement on AI standards issues that champions trustworthy and responsible AI globally.

Key topics will include:

  • Mapping the current landscape: Gaining insights from industry leaders and USG on existing AI standards initiatives and key challenges.
  • Prioritizing critical needs: Identifying the practices, metrics, and concepts in most pressing need of standardization or pre-standardization work, both on cross-cutting themes and for specific AI applications.
  • Working towards a collaborative action plan with clear roles and commitments to advance our shared vision for trustworthy and responsible AI, particularly to shed light on how the USG can advance this vision through work with other governments on standards.
