Kevin Sheilley joined the Charleston Metro Chamber as President & CEO earlier this year, bringing more than two decades of experience leading chambers and economic development organizations across multiple states.

Previously, Kevin served for 12 years as President & CEO of the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership (CEP) in Ocala, Florida, where he played a pivotal role in the organization’s transformation. Under his leadership, CEP spearheaded economic recovery initiatives, secured major community infrastructure investments, and was honored as “Chamber of the Year” by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) in 2020. Before Ocala, he held CEO roles in economic development organizations in Kentucky and Tennessee, and led the launch of the Lake Economic Area Development (LEAD) Partnership in Florida. A Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) and member of the ACCE Board of Directors, Kevin has received numerous accolades, including Florida Chamber Executive of the Year and the James Coleman East Kentucky Power Local Economic Development Award. In Charleston, Kevin has outlined a “People First” strategy focused on attainable housing, workforce training, transit, and childcare, key drivers for talent retention and regional economic vitality.
