Kim Christ joined the SC Council on Competitiveness in 2020 to lead the newest business clusters as Director of SC Tech and CyberSecureSC.
Prior to joining the Council, she served as Program Director for SC Codes. There Kim helped create and implement the statewide program that provides workforce training and mentorship in computer programming to South Carolina residents free of charge. Kim also previously held the Projects Manager position at the South Carolina Department of Commerce Office of Innovation. At the SC Department of Commerce, Kim helped manage programs such as the StartUp Fuel grant challenge, Scribble, and 3Phase. She also worked to connect the state’s innovators through collaborative networking and ideation sessions that spurred ideas and new program creation.

Kim has a background in education and technology. She served for many years on the leadership team in local educational opportunities and served as an education ambassador in China. Her roots in technology come from her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and her years working as a Network Manager for the State of South Carolina.
