Elaine Ho serves as the associate administrator for NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement. She provides strategic direction and leadership focused on preparing and placing students into aerospace jobs and careers.
Ms. Ho has held several leadership positions at NASA, including associate administration for equal opportunity and deputy associate administrator for STEM Engagement. She has also held several senior positions in the White House in the National Security Council, the United States Digital Service, the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and, most recently, as the National Space Council’s first director of STEM Education and Workforce. In her role with the National Space Council, she galvanized federal agencies, industry, and non-profit organizations to take action to prepare students for the space workforce of today and tomorrow.
Prior to her federal service career, Ms. Ho was a practicing attorney, specializing in employment law. Additionally, she served over four years active duty as an Air Force criminal prosecutor and continues her military service today as a colonel in the Air Force Reserves.
