Bob Ritchie is executive Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of SAIC, responsible for technical governance of the technology strategy, integration of roadmaps, and ensuring technical excellence across both capture and delivery.

Ritchie joined SAIC in 2005 as a software engineering intern and by 2008 had risen to be chief software architect in support of the US Navy and Marine Corp. In this role he successfully led efforts to modernize legacy DoD tactical decision aids and Command and Control (C2) systems and establish SAIC as a thought leader in agile and DevSecOps.

Ritchie moved to part time at SAIC in 2016 for Capital One where he helped lead the transformation of the Retail Direct Bank IT and data center migration to AWS public cloud. In 2019 Ritchie returned to full time status at SAIC as Vice President of Software to lead the legacy system modernization, DevSecOps, and cloud native solutions across SAIC’s entire customer base. In 2022 Ritchie was named CTO of the SAIC Innovation Factory and in 2023 CTO for the company.

He is the chair of the Washington Exec CTO Council, member of the Executive Mosaic 4x24 CTO Leadership group, and member of the StepStone Group Strategic Advisory Board, Zscaler Public Sectory Advisory Board, and Xage Technical Advisory Board.
Ritchie holds multiple agile, DevSecOps, and cloud certifications , is a two-time finalist for Washington Exec’s Cloud Executive of the year (2020 and 2021), and was named to Washington Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in 2021.

Ritchie earned his bachelor’s degree of science in Computer Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic and State University.
