Dr. Mary Lynne Dittmar directs Axiom’s work with state, federal, and international governments, acting as a thought leader with the U.S. government’s executive and legislative branches. She also leads Axiom Space Strategic Communications, promoting Axiom’s mission to enable continuing human presence in and economic development of low Earth orbit.

Previously, Dr. Dittmar served as President & CEO of the Coalition for Deep Space Exploration, an industry trade group supporting NASA’s programs of record in human exploration and science. Her experience includes six years on the Executive Committee of the Space Studies Board of the National Academies, serving on the Human Spaceflight Committee of the National Research Council, acting as Senior Policy Advisor for the International Space Station National Laboratory (ISS NL), and managing the Flight Operations Group while serving as the Chief Scientist for Commercial Payloads on the ISS Program at Boeing.

Mary Lynne serves as a member National Space Council Users’ Advisory Group and recently completed a four-year appointment to the FAA’s Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee (COMSTAC). Currently the Space Policy Fellow for the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University’s School of Engineering, she holds a Ph.D. in Human Factors from the University of Cincinnati and is a Fellow of the American Astronautical Society and the National Research Society and an Associate Fellow of AIAA.
