Karen Walker is Group Air Transport Editor-in-Chief, Aviation Week Network, and Air Transport World Editor-in-Chief.
Karen serves on the board of the International Aviation Club of Washington D.C., where she was President in 2018 and 2019.
She earned her journalism degree in the UK before joining local newspapers and then Flight International and Airline Business.
She joined ATW in 2011, having previously been Chief Editor at Armed Forces Journal, Americas’ Chief Editor at Air Transport Intelligence, Executive Editor at Airline Business and Technology Editor at Janes Defence Weekly.
She is the 2021 Aerospace Media Awards Reporter of the Year and chairs the 2022 IATA Diversity & Inclusion Awards judging panel and the 2022 L.Welch Pogue Award Committee.
