Andrea Inserra, Executive Vice President, is a key leader and client service officer for Booz Allen Hamilton’s aerospace account, serving clients in the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and NASA. Andrea drives technology adoption and digital transformation for clients, supports veterans and military families, and champions wellbeing programs for the firm, its clients, and local communities.
She partners with clients to help enable their strategies and advance their missions by delivering transformative solutions and technologies from across the firm. She works at the convergence of mission, technology, and innovation to drive sustaining change through large organizations.
Previously, Andrea led the operations and strategy team for Booz Allen’s defense and commercial business and launched the firm’s technology adoption and translation offering. Andrea was also a leader in the firm’s military and civil health businesses, where she developed an enduring passion for supporting veterans and military families. She chaired the firm’s Military and Veterans Business Resource Group, which serves veterans and military families by providing best-in-class benefits, partnering with nonprofits, and volunteering in the community.
She is also a passionate advocate for the importance of holistic well-being. She was an inaugural advisor for the Campaign to Change Direction, a nonprofit initiative launched in 2015 to change the national conversation about mental health.
Andrea currently serves on the board of directors for the Armed Services YMCA, a nonprofit that supports enlisted military members and their families, and Haskell, a $1 billion global architecture, engineering and construction firm. Previously, Andrea served on the boards of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States and the Catholic University of America School of Engineering. Andrea also serves on the Washington Exec Space Council, which conducts round tables with senior-level government officials and space industry leaders.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Andrea was an engineer at Mobil Oil and Armstrong World Industries. She has an M.B.A. and a B.Sc. in industrial engineering, both from Pennsylvania State University.
