In October 2022 Steve joined GKN Aerospace as Senior Vice President Strategy and Growth for Defense, reporting to the President of the Defense Business Line. Steve leads the Defence Business Line Strategy, Business Development and Government Affairs activities aligning key global GKN Aerospace resources to support new program pursuits and customer relationship development.
Steve joined GKN Aerospace from Bell, a Textron company, where he served for eight years in leadership roles including Vice President of Global Military Sales and Strategy. In that role, Steve was responsible for military sales, business development and strategy for military products to the United States Government and all commercial and military products to the global military market, including the aftermarket services that support these products.
Prior to joining Bell, Steve was the Deputy Chief of Staff, United States Army Special Operations Command, G8. His military experience includes a Special Operations and Conventional Forces background in aviation operations, capabilities development, strategic planning, budget development, force development and training.
Steve is originally from Russell, Iowa. He graduated from Truman State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He earned master’s degrees in Human Resource Development from Webster University and Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
