Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) was raised by a single mother who served in the Army for 20 years. A first-generation college student, she worked her way through Johnson County Community College, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Cornell Law School. Her career has been focused on economic and community development, including serving as a White House Fellow in the U.S. Department of Transportation. Elected to Congress in 2018, she became one of the first two Native American women to serve in Congress. Davids is a member of the U.S. House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, where she sits on the Aviation Subcommittee. She also co-chairs the Sustainable Aviation Caucus with Rep. Dusty Johnson and led the bipartisan Advanced Air Mobility Act, which was signed into law in 2022, alongside Sen. Jerry Moran. She resides in Roeland Park, KS.
