Mr. Jared Evans is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Director of the Transition Acceleration Program at the Office of Strategic Capital. OSC’s mission is to attract and scale private capital in support of national security. OSC’s current focus is on the development and implementation of new financial tools to increase public-private investment in our Nation’s enabling and frontier technologies.
Previously, Mr. Evans served as an Air Force developmental engineer and acquisition officer for 13 years, where he served in a variety of technical, staff, and management capacities, including deploying with Joint Special Operations Command in support of overseas contingency operations.
Most recently, Mr. Evans served as a Co-Founder and Partner at AFVentures, the Department of the Air Force’s Commercial Investment Arm under AFWERX. In that role, he served as the lead program manager for the Open Topic and Strategic Funding (STRATFI) programs and helped manage $1.8B of combined government funding and private capital for scaling early to mid-stage technology ventures to support Air Force operations. Mr. Evans continues to serve in the Air Force Reserves.
Mr. Evans holds a Masters of Science degree in Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
