Joe currently serves as Vice President of Government Advocacy, where he helps guide
NAR’s federal lobbying and political strategy on Capitol Hill. In addition to managing a
talented team of lobbyists, he oversees a unique grasstops advocacy program consisting
of 535 NAR members as well as the organization’s consumer advocacy outreach program.
Prior to joining NAR in August 2015, he served two years as vice president of a bipartisan
lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., two years as Counsel to former U.S. Senator Joe
Lieberman (CT), and six years as Legislative Assistant and later as Legislative Counsel to
former House Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt (SC).

Joe is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law and Davidson College,
where he serves on the Board of Visitors. He is also a frequent guest presenter at the
Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute and the Kogod School of Business at American
University
