Mike Flood is Senior Vice President at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness. Flood oversees the day-to-day efforts of CCMC including policy development, advocacy, and communications. Prior to the Chamber, Mike was Senior Vice President of Commercial/Multifamily Policy and Member Engagement at the Mortgage Bankers Association. He led the CREF division for five years through COVID and set five consecutive records for COMBOG satisfaction. While at MBA, the association successfully advocated for $40 billion in rental assistance, $28 billion in small business assistance, and permanently lowered capital requirements for life insurance companies.
Prior to joining MBA, Flood worked at the CRE Finance Council (CREFC), where he was Deputy Executive Director and head of the Washington, D.C., office. He has also held senior roles at the Structured Finance Association, White House Office of Management and Budget, Fannie Mae, KPMG, and the House Committee on Financial Services.
Flood holds a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Illinois.
