As the Biden Administration moves into its second year, we will talk with Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield about her reflections on year one as well as some of today's biggest global challenges - including climate change, inequality, the rise of authoritarian regimes, and regional conflicts - and U.S. leadership at the UN.

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield is the U.S. Representative to the United Nations and a member of President Biden’s Cabinet. She served as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Human Resources, and Ambassador to Liberia, among other postings, during her 35 years in the U.S. Foreign Service. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield was the 2017 recipient of University of Minnesota’s Hubert Humphrey Public Leadership Award, the 2015 recipient of Africare’s Bishop John T. Walker Distinguished Humanitarian Service Award, and the 2000 recipient of the State Department’s Warren Christopher Award for Outstanding Achievement in Global Affairs.
