Kristina Yamamoto leads the Geospatial team at Gro Intelligence. Her team focuses on remote sensing and geospatial analyses for agricultural and environmental topics for Gro. Previously, Kristina was a geographer for the United States Geological Survey in the U.S. Department of the Interior, where she led research projects in elevation and hydrography and co-authored standards for geospatial data. She has also been an adjunct professor in atmospheric science and a researcher teaching zoologists worldwide how to effectively use GIS and follow geospatial practices.
Kristina holds a BS in natural resource management from the University of California, Berkeley and an MS in Geographic Information Science and PhD in Geography from the University of Denver, focusing on biogeography. She has been working with geospatial data for over twenty years.
