In the late ‘90s, Dan joined Accenture's security organization. During his tenure with Accenture, he has worked with clients in Health & Public Service, Retail, Financial Services, Utilities, Pharmaceuticals, and Communications & High Tech to find security solutions to meet their business needs. Dan holds patents around uniquely integrating security and identity assurance technologies.

Dan has knowledge and experience in a variety of information security disciplines including Enterprise Security Architecture, Compliance, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) Security.

For the past several years, Dan has focused his experiences in the extended enterprise security space helping client organizations integrate cloud, mobile and connected platforms securely. Dan was responsible for leading several major Oil and Gas, Health and U.S. Federal Government clients on their journey to cloud adoption.

Dan is a graduate of The University of Virginia, with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He specialized in the emerging Computer Engineering discipline, blending hardware, software integration and customized development. Dan is the co-author of several SANS Information Security books and holds multiple security certifications, including SABSA, CCSK, GSEC, CSSA and CISSP.
