Dr. Nataraj (Raj) Nagaratnam is a technology and business executive focused on designing and delivering innovative security solutions, that help enterprises in their digital transformation journey, and to adopt Cloud with confidence. As CTO for Cloud Security at IBM, he drives strategy, technology and offerings around security for IBM Cloud. Recognized as an IBM Distinguished Engineer, he has lead innovative security products and capabilities across cloud, mobile, and middleware systems that are helping businesses around the world effectively manage their security. As a security leader, he has 20+ years of industry experience in building security products, architecting solutions, product management and leading engineering organizations. He has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles, blogs, papers, books and security specifications, including the book on “Enterprise Java Security” published by Addison Wesley. Nataraj received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Syracuse University.
