John S. Miller is Senior Vice President for Policy and Senior Counsel at the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), the preeminent global information technology (IT) trade association. Mr. Miller founded and leads ITI’s Trust, Data and Technology policy team, driving the organization’s global strategy and advocacy on cybersecurity and supply chain security, privacy and data protection, government access to data and encryption, artificial intelligence, 5G, Internet of Things, export controls, cloud computing, digital platforms and other technology, internet and data policy issues.

A proven IT industry leader, Mr. Miller co-chairs the Information and Communications Technology Supply Chain Risk Management Task Force along with leaders from the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and communications sector, and is the current Vice Chair of the Information Technology Sector Coordinating Council, the principal IT sector partner to the Department of Homeland Security on critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity policy.

A recognized global expert on cybersecurity, supply chain security, privacy, and other technology policy matters, Mr. Miller has testified before the U.S. Congress and participated as a keynote speaker or panelist on these topics at major events in the U.S. and global markets including India, Brazil, the EU, China and Japan.

Prior to ITI, Mr. Miller worked for nearly a decade in the Global Public Policy organization at Intel Corporation, serving as the company’s Director of Government Relations and Cybersecurity Policy; and Managing Counsel.
