Laura Hershon is an experienced strategist with additional experience in consulting, private equity, finance, and investment banking. At the National Risk Management Center (NRMC), Ms. Hershon provides research and analysis on the impacts of COVID-19 on supply chains and serves as the Government Co-Chair on the ICT SCRM Task Force Working Group 5, which focuses on building supply chain resiliency based on lessons learned during the pandemic. The Task Force is made up of members from both the public and private sector. Furthermore, Ms. Hershon works to enhance the nation’s response to the pandemic and also participates in setting strategy for the organization.
Prior to joining NRMC, Ms. Hershon was a Senior Principal at The Clearing, a consulting firm where she provided strategy consulting, research, and financial analysis services to government and private sector clients. Her 20 years of financial experience also includes roles such as Director of Investments for the Federal Realty Investment Trust, where she completed over $2.0 billion in transactions and was responsible for managing all aspects of a transaction, including financial underwriting, due diligence, contract negotiation, title and survey review as well as settlement.

Ms. Hershon brings additional leadership and investment experience from her time at CarrAmerica Realty Investment Trust and Deutsche Bank. She has worked with numerous companies to enhance value and prepare for liquidity events. She also has participated in the turnaround and restructuring of underperforming companies and has worked extensively on post-M&A integration issues.
Ms. Hershon holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delaware.
