Tanya Silva Alcorn is the Vice President of Pfizer’s BioPharma Global Supply Chain, reporting to Mike McDermott, President of Pfizer Global Supply.
Tanya has oversight for demand, supply and inventory management for ~600 products, 15,000 SKUs across 175 markets and logistics operations both inter-company and within market. Tanya also has overall accountability for the global end-to-end supply chain planning and orchestration for the BioPharma portfolio inclusive of internal and external manufacturing assets. Tanya’s team includes a team of global brand supply leaders and plant planning teams for external supply plants, internal API plants and internal SOD and Sterile Injectables plants. Tanya’s team is the primary supply chain liaison to the global finance and global commercial teams and point of accountability for supply management including escalation and coordination of resolution. Tanya and her team drive continuous improvement across the supply chain to enhance our service delivery commitment by continuing to partner and strengthen the connection with our manufacturing sites, the regional supply chain teams and our commercial partners.
Tanya joined the company in 2000 at the Biotech Pearl River, New York site as a Quality Assurance Specialist and worked within the Quality organization in various positions of increasing scope and responsibility including as Director of Quality Systems responsible for stability program, QC lab oversight, change control program and other quality support areas. Tanya also served as the Prevenar 13 Site Program Lead where she managed various teams responsible for the on-time qualification and regulatory filings associated with on-time launch of this important pneumococcal conjugate vaccine. In 2008, Tanya was appointed to the site leadership team as Senior Director of Technical Services in Pearl River where she led several business transformation and process improvement initiatives while ensuring key strategic manufacturing and quality technical objectives were completed on-time. In 2010, Tanya took a two-year secondment in Network Strategy as Plant Network Strategy (PNS) Program Implementation Leader. In this role, she successfully led a large virtual team spanning 13 sites and various center functions whose purpose was to implement the PNS strategy across Bios following the 2010 Wyeth integration PNS study. In this capacity, Tanya strongly partnered with sites and supply chain to ensure appropriate analysis of timelines and strategic inventory build to continue to meet our supply service levels and cost commitments. In 2012, Tanya was appointed Senior Director, Hemophilia Product Portfolio Leader (PPL), providing PGS leadership for the hemophilia product portfolio and partnering with the global and regional commercial teams to meet global business objectives and ultimately enable business growth to consistently deliver above-budget results. In 2014, Tanya was appointed head of Pfizer Essential Health global supply chain.
