Alberto Garcia serves as the Country Manager of Drummond Energy Inc. in Colombia. He joined Drummond in 2000 and initially spearheaded the exploration efforts for the new coal mining projects, leading to the development of the El Descanso and El Corozo mines. In January 2008, he initiated Drummond's exploration activities for hydrocarbons in Colombia, exploring various reservoirs such as coalbed methane, shale gas, and conventional reservoirs in the Cesar-Ranchería Basin located in northern Colombia. In addition to overseeing the hydrocarbons business unit, he also heads Drummond's energy unit, which includes driving renewable energy initiatives. This effort involves the construction of Drummond's first photovoltaic solar park with an installed capacity of up to 290 MWp, with the first 65 MWp expected to come online this year. This project, among others, is part of Drummond's Carbon Neutrality Strategy, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
