Mandy Mahoney serves as the Director of DOE’s Building Technologies Office. Mandy is a catalyst for change, with a 20-year legacy of results with climate change, clean energy, affordable housing, and environmental justice programs and policies. Before joining DOE, Mandy was the U.S. Program Director and Principal at the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP), the President of the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance for over a decade, and also founded and held the first Director of Sustainability position for the City of Atlanta.
Mandy is a champion of the policies, technologies, and people who power the clean energy transition throughout our nation’s buildings. She is nationally recognized leader around energy affordability and environmental justice. Mandy holds a J.D. and a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Emory University, and a Master of Environmental Management (M.E.M.) from Duke University.
