The U.S. employer sponsored savings system is essential to Americans' retirement security. The majority of middle-class Americans rely on workplace retirement savings plans to save for retirement. However, there are frictions in the system that may prevent middle-class Americans from realizing the full benefit of the retirement system. 

This conference brings together policy makers, regulators, industry experts, retirement service providers, academics and the think tank community to discuss policies and practices to improving retirement security for the middle class, with a focus on design features, such as auto enrollment, the employer match, and retirement plan investments to advancing retirement security.
