Artificial Intelligence Commission on Competitiveness, Inclusion, and Innovation (Palo Alto, CA)

Event Description

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Artificial Intelligence Commission on Competitiveness, Inclusion, and Innovation (AI Commission) is seeking IN-PERSON testimony from civil society, government, academia, practitioners, and other interested parties at its field hearing on May 9th between 10:00 AM- 4:00 PM PT at the Sheraton in Palo Alto, CA. The Commission is seeking testimony about how to regulate AI (including issues like bias, data, and liability), how the U.S. can compete internationally in research & development, and prepare the workforce as it relates to artificial intelligence.

*We will make all efforts to include those who wish to testify and accommodate requested times. Testimony will be limited to approximately ten minutes per presenter. We also will work to comply with all applicable COVID-19 protocols.

About the Commission: The Commission Co-Chaired by former Congressmen John Delaney and Mike Ferguson will convene thought leaders with experience in government, industry, and civil society to address the advancement and challenges regarding the adoption of artificial intelligence within our society. The Commission will release a report based on public testimony proposing policy solutions that accomplish the goal of ensuring the United States continues to lead in innovation while fostering fairness in the deployment of this revolutionary technology.
