B-READY is the World Bank's newest flagship report, benchmarking the business environment and investment climate in most global economies. The report offers a detailed assessment of the global business landscape, utilizing 1,200 indicators to evaluate 10 key aspects of a firm's lifecycle. Improving upon its predecessor, the Doing Business report, B-READY measures the quality of business regulations, the availability of public services to firms, and firms' efficiency in complying with regulations and using public services. This benchmarking tool will serve as a compass for investment and policy reforms.
Contribute to the Business Climate Assessment of the U.S.
The World Bank is collecting survey data from 3,000+ American firms through the World Bank Enterprise Surveys (WBES). Your response will be anonymous and will contribute to a valuable dataset that informs policymaking for a better business environment in the U.S. The assessment of the American business climate will be reflected in Business Ready 2025.
WBES are the world's most comprehensive and comparable firm-level surveys, interviewing top managers and owners of businesses worldwide. Each survey is nationally representative and covers many topics, including regulatory burdens, infrastructure needs, and financial access. With almost 220,000 businesses already interviewed, WBES is implemented in 170+ countries every three years. WBES indicators are used in Business Ready, as well as other global benchmarking tools.
