Event Description
The U.S. Chamber’s U.S.-Colombia Business Council (USCBC) invites you to join an in-person bilateral meeting featuring President Gustavo Petro on the margins of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York City, NY. This will be the first in-person engagement between President Petro and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S.-Colombia Business Council to President Petro and his team, discuss how the U.S. private sector can support President Petro’s priorities and initiatives, identify areas for collaboration and partnership between the Colombian government and the U.S. private sector, and lay the groundwork for a constructive and open dialogue. Topics of conversation will include food security, energy transition and circular economy, the private sector’s role in Colombia’s peace implementation, access to health, education and workforce development, and connectivity.
