Post-Quantum Cryptography Virtual Briefing with the Department of Homeland Security

Event Description

Join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for a virtual briefing and moderated Q&A with the Department of Homeland Security Thursday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. ET to discuss DHS's recent Post-Quantum Cryptography publication.

This publication - prepared by DHS in partnership with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) - provides a roadmap to help organizations protect their data and systems and to reduce risks related to the advancement of quantum computing technology. Leaders from the DHS Private Sector Office and the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Resilience Policy Team will lead the briefing.

While quantum computing promises unprecedented speed and power in computing, it also poses new risks. As this technology advances over the next decade, it is expected to break some encryption methods that are widely used to protect customer data, complete business transactions, and secure communications. DHS's new guidance will help organizations prepare for the transition to post-quantum cryptography by identifying, prioritizing, and protecting potentially vulnerable data, algorithms, protocols, and systems.

Participation is limited to Chamber members. Please register using the button above and contact Vincent Voci (email: vvoci@uschamber.com or cell: +1 202-450-8632) with questions.

We look forward to hosting you.
