U.S. Chamber Discussion on EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive
Event Description
On Friday, March 10, at 9:30am EST, please join the Chamber’s Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness (CCMC), Europe program, and Institute for Legal Reform (ILR) for a virtual discussion on the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD or CS3D). The meeting will feature Giovanni Campi, of K&L Gates Brussels, who will provide an overview of the directive and a readout of its trajectory toward finalization. We will also discuss the potential for formal Chamber advocacy on the subject.
The CS3D is on the Chamber’s list of EU regulations of concern. While the overall policy discussion on the file has changed somewhat since publication, this overview is useful, and this recent analysis provides more detailed insight into the challenges of the directive. Additionally, in February of 2022, the European Commission released an overview of the file.
Please feel free to invite others from your organization to join the conversation. Access details will be sent following registration.
