Digital Trade Industry Engagement Session
Event Description
On behalf of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, we are honored to invite you to participate in the Digital Trade Industry Engagement Session on October 4, 2024, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Headquarters in Washington, DC.
This session will cover the open-source TradeTrust framework and the proposed digital trade facilitation forum. This forum was established through an MOU between the U.S. Chamber and Singapore’s IMDA to enhance digital trade facilitation and interoperability via TradeTrust. Developed by IMDA, TradeTrust uses decentralized technologies such as blockchain and verifiable credentials to ensure trusted interoperability across systems for both transferable and non-transferable documents, adhering to globally accepted standards.
The primary objective of this session is to engage key stakeholders in the trade and trade finance sectors, including banks, carriers, importers, exporters, tech solution providers, and relevant trade associations. The dialogue will aim to foster a deeper understanding of the TradeTrust framework and how it helps businesses enhance their global trade capabilities while accessing new markets and opportunities with more confidence.
