Dear Members,
With the IMF/WB Spring Meetings taking place in Washington this month, the U.S. Chamber's Southeast Asia Program is pleased to invite you to an in-person discussion with Indonesian Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
We will hear from the minister on Indonesia’s economic outlook, recent major reforms in the financial sector (omnibus law), and her broader thoughts on the global economic recovery. Her visit to Washington follows the U.S. Chamber and AmCham Indonesia’s financial services and information technology mission to Jakarta in March and is an opportunity for Washington-based representatives to engage on numerous issues in these fast-developing sectors.
Sri Mulyani Indrawati is an Indonesian economist who has been the country's Minister of Finance since 2016; she previously served in the same post from 2005 to 2010. During her career, she has also served as the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at the World Bank. In 2006, Sri Mulyani was crowned as the best Minister of Finance in Asia by the Emerging Markets in the sidelines of World Bank and IMF’s Annual Session in Singapore. Sri Mulyani Indrawati is well-respected at home and abroad for her achievements and well-led financial reforms. Read her full bio here.
