Equality of Opportunity In Action: Addressing Maternal

Healthcare Disparities

Join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, July 28 at 12:00 p.m. ET for Equality of Opportunity In Action: Addressing Maternal Healthcare Disparities. Black, American Indian, and Alaska Native women are two to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  Barriers to obtaining quality maternal healthcare has also led to a higher prevalence of underlying health conditions that complicate pregnancy.

This event will bring together private and public sector leaders to discuss the business community's role in addressing disparities in maternal healthcare and solutions for advancing health equity.
