When: November 20 - 21, 2025

Where: Cambridge, Massachusetts

Homelessness is a growing challenge with direct implications for America’s workforce, public health, and economic competitiveness. Beyond Shelter: A Conference to End Homelessness is a two-day conference in November on Harvard University’s historic Cambridge, Massachusetts campus. The gathering brings together leaders from Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and experts across business, healthcare, advocacy, research, and lived experience to advance practical and scalable solutions.

The program will focus on housing as critical economic infrastructure—how targeted investments and cross-sector partnerships can strengthen labor force participation, improve community health outcomes, and support long-term growth. Through keynotes, panels, and collaborative discussions, participants will examine models that work, identify barriers to scale, and surface policy and market levers that drive system-level change.

Topics include:

  • The role business can play in addressing homelessness
  • The Amazon Affordable Housing Fund
  • Modular housing
  • The business of affordable housing
  • And more.

Investing in housing is smart business. Stable housing supports a stronger workforce, healthier communities, and economic resilience.
