The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will host Tackling Human Trafficking at Large Sporting Events at Chamber headquarters, 1615 H Street NW, Washington, DC 20062, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The event will emphasize the business community's role in developing strategies to raise awareness of human trafficking at major sporting events, which will coincide with Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana.
At the event, the National Coalition for the Prevention of Human Sex Trafficking, an initiative made up of first spouses who have pledged to leverage their leadership platforms to promote the prevention of sex trafficking, will release Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness: A Playbook for Stakeholders.
Experts from the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and federal, state, and local entities will discuss lessons learned from Louisiana's anti-human trafficking campaign for the NCAA men's Final Four tournament and how this initiative can be replicated throughout the U.S.
This event is being co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Center for Countering Human Trafficking and the National Coalition for the Prevention of Human Sex Trafficking.
