ABOUT THE MISSION
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Kazakhstan Business Council will lead a business mission on June 6-8 to Almaty and Astana, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Mission in Kazakhstan.
This mission will be the Council’s first visit to Kazakhstan, building on the legacy of the U.S.-Kazakhstan Business Association’s tradition of visiting Astana and Almaty with companies. We welcome a broad range of U.S. companies to join the delegation, from multinationals to SMEs, across a wide array of sectors, including but not limited to agriculture, chemicals, construction, construction materials, energy, finance, digital, healthcare infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, and rare earth metals/mining.
This business mission is a follow-up to the U.S.-Kazakhstan Business Council roundtable with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on September 22, 2022 where many company executives expressed interest in returning to Kazakhstan for a business mission.
Companies are encouraged to send senior executives from the United States or the region as the lead delegate for this delegation. Participants will meet with key Kazakhstan Government officials, policymakers and the U.S.-Kazakhstan business community. The delegation will visit Almaty and Astana. The goals of the business mission are to advance the U.S.-Kazakhstan trade and investment agenda, including the diversification of commercial ties and regional trade routes.
Please note there are three relevant events taking place in Kazakhstan around these dates, around which the business mission will engage: President Tokayev’s Foreign Investors’ Council, Astana International Economic Forum, and the Astana International Financial Centre Finance Days.
